ITS GETTING LATE
Well it is almost 11pm and Jordan has decided to stay awake and do what he can't normally do without peace throughout the day when Nicolas and Chloe are awake because they like to torment and disturb his routine. Though I do believe also his alertness is because we had run out of the Melatonin almost 2 weeks ago. How many times in the past week i have awoken to Gwen Steffani keep on dancing at 3am and finding the kitchen in some sort of dissaray.
Tonite we sent him to bed at 8pm, then not long after he came downstairs again to sit with us, daddy gave him his tickle back/arms which he loves, then after telling him no more, time for bed he told us bluntly NO! dont want too. It is hard at times to be perservering with him because at times we feel it is because the other 2 are asleep and he is looking for our time only. But we have had to be persistant in his routine, therefore letting him know there are rules that need to be followed after giving in to him on these special occasions. At 8.45pm he went back to bed, then came down at 10.30pm and wanted to watch me type on the computer.
I had to laugh at Nicolas, when putting him to bed he told me "i'm not tired". I said to him to try and count 10 sheep, his reply was i cant do that because all i ever hear is BAHHHHH! I said well you will have to bahhhhhh yourself to sleep. I never heard a peep from him again.
Jordan after awaking watched me type a email to Lora and Griffin (who has a blogger as well and has proven to be a very valuable friend indeed) and decided he wanted to type as well so i let him finish off with Bye bye etc love from etc and he typed it all without needing me to help him with any spelling, i just told him what to write. He thought he was ants pants after that accomplishment.
Well now he is playing with Dominos, lining them up of course and he had earlier found all our Cd's in a case and decided rather than playing them in the stereo they looked better lined up along the wall.
Our kitten Moccha has decided that Jordan once again makes a great play mate. He has decided that the dominos move around pretty well with his paw, after Jordan has lined them up all so perfectly. This kitten will watch intently beside Jordan, with Jordan telling him nice kitty Moccha, whilst patting him on the head.
The thing is Jordan and Moccha have this little bond happening, Jordan finds it all so amusing when he comes and plays with whatever he has done, yet normally if it is anyone else who may interrupt and mess up his routine, it is enough to send him screaming through the house, chucking his hard work all over the place.
After my other cat died at the grand old age of 13 years, Jordan did seem somewhat upset not having her around anymore. I do not know if it was because he could not torment her anymore by smacking her on the head so she would screw up her little face and meow which would always send Jordan into hysterics of laughter or the fact he understood she had actually gone to kitty heaven and felt sad at her passing.
Moccha loves sitting behind jordan on the couch and playing with his hair, Jordan when he has had enough will say "shoo Moccha". This cat must know because he moves away and finds another spot to curl up on the couch, not far away from him.
I have to laugh though, this cat follows me everywhere, sits and waits for me. I will go to the toilet and he will follow me in, look at me, purr away and decide to go to the loo as well (in his kitty litter of course), race up the stairs after me and wait till my next mission like starting dinner and proceed to climb up the behind of my pants onto my shoulder and sit. At this point in time while i am writing this blog page he has decided to climb on the back of my chair and sit halfway across my shoulders.
I suppose i can honestly say we have raised children with different quirky personalities and now a animal with its own little quirks also.
After Jordan has decided to turn on the washing machine and turn it onto spin i have told him bed now, after taking him too bed and kissing him goodnight once again he now seems settled. He said to me as i was walking out of his room " lighten up mum" Goodnight, pool tomorrow? in which i replied You always lighten up my life Jorday, I love you and yes we will swim in the pool tomorrow.
With that i turned off his light, and hope along with Jordan, Nicolas and Chloe they share the same sweet dreams.
